- Commission and Payouts
The Consignor will receive 60% of the final sale price after platform fees. Payments are issued via PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo on the 1st or 15th of the month for sales finalized during the prior calendar month.
- Item Ownership and Authenticity
The Consignor affirms they are the legal owner of the items being consigned. All items must be 100% authentic. Any inauthentic or counterfeit items will be returned at the Consignor’s expense or discarded.
- Authenticity Guarantee
Stuff Youd Want proudly sells only authentic merchandise. By submitting items for consignment, the Consignor guarantees that all items are authentic. In the event of a dispute or if an item is found to be inauthentic, Stuff Youd Want reserves the right to place a hold on any outstanding payouts and/or confiscate counterfeit goods.
- Item Acceptance Policy
Only clean, new, or excellent condition items will be accepted. Stuff Youd Want has full discretion to reject any item. Rejected items must be claimed within 7 days of notice or will be donated.
- Pricing
Stuff Youd Want retains full discretion to set and adjust prices based on market demand, condition, and appearance. This includes the right to reprice at any time.
- Consignment Period
Items are consigned for 90 days. After this period, the Consignor may choose to have items returned, donated, or relisted at a discount. If no instruction is received within 7 days of notice, the item will be donated.
- Early Item Withdrawal and Expiration
The Consignor may request to retrieve any consigned item before it is sold or before the end of the 90-day consignment period, provided 48 hours’ advance notice is given. Any unsold items not reclaimed by the end of the consignment period will become the sole property of Stuff Youd Want.
- Promotion of Items
Stuff Youd Want will make efforts to promote and list items on relevant platforms and social media channels but is not obligated to market every item individually.
- Sales Statement
A statement will be provided at payout detailing items sold, sale price, fees deducted, and the Consignor’s earnings. If items are donated at the Consignor’s request, that will also be indicated.
- Loss, Damage, or Destruction of Items
Stuff Youd Want, including its officers, directors, and employees, is not responsible for the loss, damage, or destruction of any consigned items for any reason or by any cause. The Consignor assumes all risk and agrees to release Stuff Youd Want from any liability related to such loss or damage. The Consignor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Stuff Youd Want against any claims related to lost or damaged items and acknowledges they may purchase their own insurance coverage if desired.
- Modifications Must Be in Writing
No changes or additions to this agreement shall be valid unless made in writing and signed by both the Consignor and Stuff Youd Want.
- Entire Agreement and Governing Law
This agreement represents the full and complete understanding between the parties and supersedes any prior discussions or communications. It shall be interpreted according to the laws of the State of New Jersey. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of New Jersey courts.
